TOP 15 BAGS TO INVEST IN THIS SEASON

THE LIST

By looking at the colour palate of the upcoming season, it’s not hard to find out the top 3 trends in terms of women’ everyday essentials---BAGS.

1.     THE GAME CHANGER: Primary-colour totes

A glamour mini clutch may be the evening bag of the moment, but you go-to for day should be the oversized tote. The SS13 twist on the carry-all comes from America’s design elite-in red or blue, they will make an impact at the office and off duty.

PROENZA SCHOULER---The PS1 suede tote, $1,956
SAINT LAURENT---Sac de Jour Carry all, $2,950

3.1 PHILLIP LIM---The Pashli medium shark-effect leather trapeze bag, $1,037

2.     Monochrome trend: White is the new black

It will be all white on the night as fashion’s latest colour obsession goes all pure and simple. Orchestrating a wardrobe white-out will provide as much of a mental overhaul as it will a physical one. Sensing that we'd be craving purity and calm right around the time their summer collections hit the stores, many designers explored the soothing potential of white.

LOUIS VUITTON---Speed bag, $1,290
VALEXTRA---Medium Isis Tote, $3,450
(PS: You might not very familiar with this Italian brand, Valextra is a brand that is known to the most discerning bag and small leather accessories lovers. In this age of mass produced 'luxury', Valextra reminds a brand synonymous with old world luxury. Simple, clean and not over the top are characteristics of this brand. Personally, I am loving it! Will it be the next 'it bag', we will see.)
M2MALLETIER---Amor Fati leather should bag, $1,722
(Nothing but elegant)
BALENCIAGA---Paper Highlight Mini A4 Magnet, $1,145
(Your all time favourite Balenciaga will never let you down)

1.     FUN: Special material or finishing joined the game

In this season, super-imposed metallic shins, transparent revolution and playful shapes are the new focus in women’ handbags. Seems like fashion is cheering up everybody in such an era of economic recession.

BURBERRY PRORSUM---Watersnake-trimmed PVC tote, $3,804
( You know how gorgeous Burberry is in this season, I suggest you to grab one of the key items before it out of stoke)

CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA---Toucan suede and leather clutch, $572

ALEXANDER WANG---Tri-fold metallic textured-leather shoulder bag, $961

CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA---Croissant gold-plated clutch, $1,465
(She is the designer, knows what women want and always striking a balance between luxury and fun)

LANVIN---Arpege enamel clutch, $3,925

BURBERRY PRORSUM---Metallic textured-leather should bag, $1,154

SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON

MULBERRY CLUTCH-MEETS-TOTE

We’ve spied a burgeoning bag trend in the mix of the most recent shows, and it’s not only desirable but bloomin’ useful too. We’re talking about the clutch-meets-tote combination, as seen on the runways at Mulberry.
One could call it two bags for the price of one, or the bogof of bag-dom, but if you’re feeling really experimental on the portmanteau front, then call it the ‘clote’. Whatever the explanation, all we know is that the idea of having a detachable clutch on the front of a super-size tote is a brilliant invention.
And let me tell you what, Kate Moss is also a fan of this!

PROENZA SCHOULER  PS11 MIRRORED-LEATHER CLUTCH

It is not a new product, but it did made a statement in the world of fashion. If you still remember, I have blogged about the trend 'Holographic' few months ago. But PS is the first brand came out the idea of 'mirror texture' according my research, correct me if I am wrong.
After this storm, let me tell you what is happening in the country I stay, Singapore. All the shops that carrying PS SOLD OUT this colour at the moment they brought in. Unless you are really hard-core or a VVIP, you will not be able to get this baby!
