GOOGLE GLASSES WALK THE DVN SS13 RUNWAY

What is the most attractive element in Diane von Furstenberg SS13’s show? Fabulous prints and exquisite bags are on longer being the most stunning element, but the high-tech Google Glasses that worn by the models.

This pair of multifunction futuristic sunglasses, was released in June of this year. In Spring Summer New York fashion week, it was shown at the the DVF fashion show again. Next, will we see a new cross-over sunglasses collection in DVN and Google?

In the show, DVF founder, designer Diane von Furstenberg and brand incumbent creative director Yvan Mispelaere was wearing it with appearances curtain call! The DVF backstage staff are also wearing Google Glasses to help their work.

This pair of glasses, which debuted in June at Google’s I/O conference in San Francisco, contain a camera, a display screen and a processor that lay information over your environment so that you can interact with the world around you almost as if you were looking at it on a smartphone.

A demo that accompanied the launch showed the glasses alerting their wearer to thins like the location of the nearest subway and the weather report, as well as updates on the locations of your friends and the ability to send and receive messages.
