HALO! I AM BACK!

I admit that I am not a hard working blogger, as I am occupied by travelling, studies and multi-events recently, did not really have the mood/time to sit down and start writing a new post. Btw, I just came back from my holidays in Europe. That was such a fascinating trip, information just overloaded everyday, so many things can be written about, why not let's start now?

I spent 1 week plus in London and another one week in Paris, but I have to tell you I prefer Paris, no doubts. Actually before my trip, I lost count on how many people had been telling me one thing about Paris, pickpocket. But I find that was definitely exaggerated. I will say as long as you take care of your belongs, that place is absolutely FINE. For London, I find it is a busy place, almost like Singapore. One of the best things for me to do in London is shopping in the vintage markets, dozens of interesting stuff that for you to dig out.

Well, enough intro, I do not want to do a travel review here, I believe nobody wants to read a piece of travel review which as long as your toilet paper.
Let the pictures talk.

Stefano's Debut for Zegna in Milan Mens Fashion Week

Welcome to Milan!

Stefano Pilati has been away from YSL for quite some time, since ' Stefano is moving to Ermenegildo Zegna.' this new came out, I feel that the show always being more important (or practical) than the design itself. But do not get me wrong, I am not saying that Stefano is not a good designer, even though I still cannot accept the style that he used to set for YSL.
Forget about the past, let's talk about his debut for Zegna; the opening show for Milan Mens Fashion Week this year. Personally, I like the breathable fabrics that he using for this collection. I could even feel the wind just like the models was walking in front of me. Colour wise, a bit dull, it is not hard to spot his 'heritage' which he'd used 33 colours in his clothes, in fact, it is his significant.

'DOES NOT MATCH, MAN!'

The suits that followed were broken--jackets and trousers not matched, reflecting Stefano's conviction that a man whose closet is filled with suits is not about to wear them as convention dictates.
A number of models had long-sleeve T-shirts rolled back on the cuffs of their coats and jackets. It was a street-y  flourish for a collection.

BASICS ARE NOT THAT BASIC ANY MORE

Good designers know how to use proportions and contrasts to give us the visual excitement, even they are working with basic stuff. Stefano Pilati is one of them.
So stop saying that 'oh! The new definition of luxury fashion!' Do NOT use such words to describe any evolutions. This is NOT luxury, this is FASHION.

Valentino | RED Valentino FALL13/14 PREVIEW

Valentino joined this festival season and made such a remark by showing this gorgeous Fall 13/14 collection.

Vermeer's Girl With a Pearl Earring stared out from Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli's mood board this season.

Making a study of white collars, Chiuri and Piccioli added them to many of their familiar looks. The collars came in laser-cut leather encrusted with beads or in "Calvinist" plain cotton piqué, and they decorated the simplest pieces, like long-sleeve A-line shifts in wool and short alpaca coats, as well as more ornate creations, including a tulip embroidered lace gown, and another elaborately traced in a Delft ceramics pattern.

With its artistic ombre colour scheme, the CANDY SUNSET perfectly encapsulates the dreamy vision of warm summer sunsets by the sea.

MOVE PICASSO'S LADIES TO THE REALITY

Eugenio Recuenco, a Spanish photographer created this wonderful scene that based on Picasso's paintings. From a stranger's point of view, this set of photos telling us JUST enough of a story for us to want more.

I have to say, this is not a set of very recent photos but my personal collection. As Picasso is one of my most-favorite artists. During his cubist period, Picasso's ladies were awkward and feeble and his lines, most remarkably the eyes were rendered surrealistically.

Recuenco has made an homage to the painter, as many liberties were taken with poses and garments. The effect of this homage is forced in some photos more than others!

WALKING IN THE PAINTING

I am thinking words are something that will fade away at the moment they come out from our mouths. That is why I love images so much. Telling different stories to different people. That is also the power of photography.

KEY ACCESSORIES FROM PRADA FALL 2013

Mrs. P herself defined this, her very first emotional collection as "a mix of rich and poor."
I believe that the shoes (especially the lug sole) will tell you a mini story behind the collection.

Alexander Wang FALL 2013 FULL LOOKBOOK

I think you have already knew that Alexander Wang was named the creative director at Balenciaga since his last runway. This collection of him maybe can give you a clearer view of how a 29-year-old American designer found Balenciaga, instead of Balenciaga found him.
