FURLA---Candybrissima Tour

FURLA's Candybrissima, a creative laboratory that’s currently on a voyage around the world where you get to delve deep into the realm of putting together a Candy bag.

Following the success of the “Candybrissima show for Furla and I” at the Italian embassies in Tokyo and Moscow, Bloomingdale’s in New York and LA RINASCENTE at piazza del Duomo in Milan, the “Candybrissima Show Tour” is coming to Singapore shores from 24 - 25 May 2013. And I am proud of being a part of the preview section yesterday!
As the last city of this tour, Singapore definitely did not let you down.
Furla is a brand synonymous with contemporary art and fashion and true to their spirit, personalities and design students from various art and fashion communities will be invited to come together for the first time to perform an ultra-creative assemble of the iconic rubber Candy bag.

CANDY SUNSET by FURLA

 | THE SUNSET GLISTENS UPON THE LAND |
 | THE SUNSET SOARING IN THE HEAVENS LIKE A DOVE |
 | WITH PEOPLE STANDING HAND IN HAND |
 | WITH THE MAGIC THAT IT SINGS TO THEM |

If no time for a vacation, at least let me have the sunset please.

Constructed in a sleek, clear body, the CANDY SUNSET is available in four special shades in bold and saccharine hues, graduating to almost every other permutation in between. With its artistic ombre colour scheme, the CANDY SUNSET perfectly encapsulates the dreamy vision of warm summer sunsets by the sea.
Different from the original CANDY bag, which launched globally in 2011, soon became a worldwide best seller. With many tonal shading possibilities available, each new CANDY SUNSET bag can be considered as a Unique Limited Edition piece. So which one is your favourite?

MOVE PICASSO'S LADIES TO THE REALITY

Eugenio Recuenco, a Spanish photographer created this wonderful scene that based on Picasso's paintings. From a stranger's point of view, this set of photos telling us JUST enough of a story for us to want more.

I have to say, this is not a set of very recent photos but my personal collection. As Picasso is one of my most-favorite artists. During his cubist period, Picasso's ladies were awkward and feeble and his lines, most remarkably the eyes were rendered surrealistically.

Recuenco has made an homage to the painter, as many liberties were taken with poses and garments. The effect of this homage is forced in some photos more than others!
