If you are still wearing colour blocking, thinking of how to match your outfit in different colour and prints, that means it's time to have a revolution of your wardrobe. But it does not mean that you have to purchase some more new pieces to 'follow' up the trends or give up your old clothes ( personally, I do not throw away clothes, no matter how old are they, because you will never know some day they will turn to a new vintage style, as you know fashion is always look back).  
My advice is wearing in the same colours or prints HtoT. So you can play with different materials, give a sleek and sophisticate look.
I am not a fan of pastel colours, I believe not everybody can pull off a whole pastel look. Why not to try prints, they are more timeless compare to certain trendy colours. And for this season, is the world of symmetrical prints.
